Do you want to get started with an innovative idea within DigiShape? Then this is your chance! The DigiShape core team is calling on employees of all DigiShape partners to submit a proposal for a seedmoney project. A total of €15,000 is available for two projects this year. We are looking for fresh, promising initiatives that are in line with our domains and in which partners work together on a first proof of concept, prototype or experiment.
What does a seedmoney project entail?
DigiShape supports a number of small-scale, innovative projects every year with a seed money contribution. This contribution amounts to a maximum of 50% of the project budget, with a maximum of €10,000 per project. The other half may be provided as co-financing in kind. Projects are carried out by at least two DigiShape partners and have a clear innovative character and are preferably (so certainly not mandatory) led or carried out by young employees.
The goal? Laying the foundation for a larger follow-up development – for example, towards a scalable project, collaboration with external financiers or a pilot in practice.
Typical DigiShape projects focus on the smart application of data, models and digital techniques in the water sector. Think of digital twins for infrastructure, AI applications for maintenance and monitoring, tools for data interoperability, or new ways to involve users in decision-making. The projects are practice-oriented, innovative and focused on cooperation between public and private parties.
Important dates
- 2 July: (optional) submission of first proposal (max. 2 A4) for pitch event. This is possible at david@digishape.nl.
- 3 July (online pitch event): Opportunity to present your project idea in a short pitch to other partners. This can lead to cross-pollination, new ideas and collaborations.
- Summer period: Developing ideas into complete proposals.
- 2 September: deadline for submitting final proposals (max 6 A4)
- Then pre-selection by the core team based on the frameworks and preconditions.
- 18 September (DigiShape Day Standardization & Harmonization of Data): Live pitches of selected proposals.
- Autumn 2025: Allocation of the seed money and start of implementation (duration max. 3 months).
What requirements must your proposal meet?
Your project:
- fits within at least one of the DigiShape domains;
- has upscaling potential and a clear innovation component
- is carried out by at least two DigiShape partners (see below under ‘Participating’ if you do not work for a DigiShape partner);
- results in an over-the-counter product or result;
- is presented at a DigiShape day or webinar.

Do you not work for a DigiShape partner, but do you have a good idea that fits within our objectives? Please contact a DigiShape partner to submit a proposal together. We encourage collaboration with non-partners, but only DigiShape partners can receive seedmoney.
