Looking back and presentation: Pressure cooker Vibe Coding

26-10-30 digishape dag vibe coding

On 30 October, DigiShape and the National Models and Data Centre for the Living Environment (NMDC) organised a pressure cooker on vibe coding at Deltares in Delft. During this meeting, professionals exchanged experiences with the development of software for model development and data analysis with the help of AI assistants.

Interest in vibe coding is growing and with it the need to share knowledge, practical tips and experiences with each other. During the meeting, Fedor Baart (Rijkswaterstaat), Christos Michalopoulos (KWR) and Stefan Troost (NMDC) spoke. In addition, participants brought their own practical examples and there was room for a live demonstration and discussion.

A topic of discussion was how to use AI assistants responsibly in the development of models and software. On the basis of practical examples, both the possibilities and the limitations were discussed. For example, how do you check whether AI-generated code is reliable? And how do you prevent an AI assistant from making unwanted changes to existing files?

The exchange tastes like more. DigiShape and NMDC therefore want to organize an online follow-up session in a few months in which participants can again share experiences and practical tips. Sign up for the newsletter to receive an e-mail as soon as a new DigiShape event is organized.
